Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using MapHighlight ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

Service Description

MapHighlight provides an API service for generating country maps with highlighted regions. We offer various subscription tiers with different usage limits and features.

Account Registration

• You must provide accurate and complete information
• You are responsible for maintaining account security
• You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service
• One person or entity may not maintain multiple free accounts
• You are responsible for all activity under your account

Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Exceed your plan's usage limits
• Resell or redistribute the Service without permission
• Attempt to reverse engineer or compromise the Service
• Use the Service for illegal purposes
• Abuse, harass, or harm other users
• Circumvent rate limits or security measures

Pricing and Payment

• Subscription fees are billed monthly or annually
• All fees are in USD unless otherwise stated
• Payments are processed securely through Stripe
• Refunds are provided at our discretion
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice
• Overages may result in additional charges or service suspension

API Usage

• API keys are confidential and must not be shared
• You are responsible for all requests made with your API key
• Rate limits apply based on your subscription tier
• We may throttle or block abusive usage patterns
• API availability is subject to our uptime SLA

Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by MapHighlight and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Generated maps may be used freely in your applications, but you may not claim ownership of the underlying map generation technology.

Service Availability

• We strive for 99.9% uptime on paid plans
• Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance
• We are not liable for service interruptions beyond our control
• Free tier has no uptime guarantee

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MapHighlight shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.

Disclaimer

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and your local jurisdiction, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
